Precipitation in deformed Al-Fe and Al-Fe-Si dilute alloys

摘要
Precipitation sequence in deformed Al-Fe dilute alloys with and without Si addition was studied by means of resistivity measurements and TEM observations. Resistivity decreased in two stages in undeformed specimens of the alloys, while in deformed specimens, it decreased in two stages at high and low aging temperatures, but it decreased in three stages in a medium range of temperatures. Plotting the time to start the second stage against temperatures resulted in TTP diagrams composed of a single C-curve and two C-curves for undeformed and deformed specimens, respectively. In the deformed specimens, recrystallization competitively occurred with precipitation, which made a precipitation phenomena complicated. Effects of Si addition to Al-Fe alloy were also discussed.
