摘要
The partial oxidation of methane was studied on Pt/Al2O3, Pt/Ce-ZrO2 and Pt/Ce-ZrO2/Al2O3 catalysts. The oxygen transfer capacity of the samples and the degree of coverage of the alumina surface were evaluated by oxygen storage capacity (OSC) and infrared spectroscopy of adsorbed CO2, respectively. Pt/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 catalyst was more active and stable than Pt/Al2O3 and Pt/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2/Al2O3 catalysts on partial oxidation of methane. These results were explained by the high oxygen storage/release capacity Of Pt/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 catalyst, which allowed a removal of carbonaceous deposits from the active sites. Pt/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2/Al2O3 catalyst also presented a high oxygen exchange capacity. However, this sample deactivated during the reaction. The low degree of coverage of alumina surface obtained for this catalyst avoided the occurrence of the redox mechanism of carbon removal.
