摘要
Rationale of the research was the observation on the dynamics of knowledge generated on Industry 4.0. Analysis of the number of scientific papers on the subject proved that it is exponentially growing. The research question that emerged after that analysis was: Is the knowledge generated by academics used to support companies willing to benefit from Industry 4.0 solution? The question was roughly answered after analysis of reports on Industry 4.0 implementation barriers. Lack of knowledge was recognized there as one of the main reasons for delaying decisions on implementation of Industry 4.0 tools and methods. That inspired authors to developing model of knowledge gap filling. Hence, the ambition of the paper is developing the model of knowledge gap filling. The methodology implemented encompasses causal diagrams and system dynamics.
