摘要
This review summarises the existing knowledge regarding the effects of resistance training in patients suffering from relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS). Also, the literature concerning the effects of exercise on both the MS animal model and the immune system in MS patiente are reviewed. It is concluded that resistance training is a safe and beneficial exercise modality inmoderately impaired MS patients, potentially improving muscle strength, muscle mass, functional capacity, fatigue, mood and quality of life. Exercise may influence the disease progression in MS patients, but further studies are needed.
