摘要
Most recently, electrospun nanofiber materials have been extensively studied for their applications in biosensors owing to their high specific surface area, polymer diversity, and process simplicity. Compared with conventional biosensors, nanofiber-based biosensors have the advantages such as high responsiveness, high sensitivity, wide detection objects, and cost effectiveness. In addition, biopolymer-doped/based electrospun materials have good biocompatibility. The advanced biosensors based on electrospinning technology are reviewed in this article, including electrospun carbon-modified biosensors, metal/metallic oxide-modified biosensors, and polymer-based and polymer-modified biosensors. The features of different types of electrospun biosensors and their developing trends were analyzed and are discussed in this review article to share the current opinion with the relevant researchers on the applications of electrospinning technology in biosensors.
