Interference and violation of Bell's inequalities using separate sources

摘要
Interference effects between separate particles occur when they are made indistinguishable. Here we demonstrate the simplest experiment that proves this statement by creating a source of one-photon states and mixing with an independent weak coherent source at a beamsplitter. We discuss experimental configurations which would allow a violation of Bell's inequality to be demonstrated.
