摘要
In this article, a dual-polarized lens antenna system based on isotropic Huygens' surfaces is proposed for 12GHz applications. The surface lens is composed of subwavelength metallic patches etched on a 2-layer dielectric substrate, which can realize high transmission efficiency and large phase shift (covering 0 degrees-360 degrees) over a wide bandwidth (11.0-13.0 GHz). The multimode resonances in the unit cell are detailed analyzed. The feed antenna at the focal point of the lens is a broadband dual-polarized microstrip antenna. Both the simulated and measured results demonstrate that the dual-polarized lens antenna system can realize the input ports isolation of more than 25dB, and the gain of more than 17.0 dB.
