Practical aspects of hydrostatic pressure application in metal forming

The brief review of existing methods of metal forming processes, in which the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid is introduced, has been presented. The main idea of this forming process is based on the membrane, theory of thin shells. The typical applications of pressure assisted methods in process of deep drawing, forming of tubular components and bulging of large-area components for different industries have been presented. The examples of products, obtained by using these methods have been also presented.
