摘要
Hartwick College is an undergraduate liberal arts college (Carnegie Classification BA1) with a student body of approximately 1500. In the 1996-1997 academic year, four faculty in Hartwick's Department of Management and Accounting implemented a new curriculum for their 119 management majors. This curriculum was innovative in its simultaneous, combined use of computer simulations, self-instruction, student teams and instructor coaching teams as the primary instructional delivery system for all junior and senior management courses. Faculty observed increases in student motivation, involvement and learning of essential competencies not possible in courses taught using traditional lecture-based methods. Student satisfaction surveys also indicated positive results for most courses.
