摘要
A broadband planar circularly polarized antenna based on the differential excitation of an asymmetrical spiral antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed feeding method of the spiral antenna is an appropriate alternative to the complex balun circuits used in conventional spiral antennas. The simulation results show that the CP antenna covers the 46.84% -15 dB impedance bandwidth and 36.19% 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth with the peak realized gain of 6.7 dBi. The presented antenna inherits the low profile characteristic and is capable of integration with planar structure.
