摘要
Based on the ethical literary criticism put forward by Nie Zhenzhao, this paper attempts to explore the ethical significance in Death of a Salesman. Willy Loman' s tragedy is caused by the conflicts between ethical dream ( American dream) and commercial jungle law ( morality alienation). Through the death of Willy, Miller points out the destructive consequence of commercialization to traditional ethics and the dilemma man is facing. In Death of a Salesman Miller shows his considerability towards man' s spiritual crisis in commercialized life and his appeal to the ethics construction in society.
