How to improve architecture design and construction process

摘要
The purpose of the paper is to study how to complement process improvement in architecture design and construction. First, two different philosophies-conventional production philosophy and new production philosophy, are introduced. Second, based on the idea of new production philosophy, the activities in architecture design and construction process are divided into two categories: conversion and flow. A survey was carried out to determine the man-hours of some activities. The survey results shows that flow diminish the process productivity remarkably. The reasons that cause the flow activities are discussed subsequently. Finally, the authors present 5 suggestions to improve architecture design and construction process.
