摘要
Violence risk assessment: Available tools and instructions for use. Violence management and prevention exceed the exclusive court intervention and require other professionals, such as psychologists, who can help in specialized tasks like dangerousness assessment and violence recidivism control. The latest improvements in the prevention of violence have proposed the replacement of dangerousness assessment for the violence risk assessment. This new technology is more efficient to predict the future violent behavior. In this study, we present the basis of these techniques for the violence risk assessment, as well as the Spanish adapted tools and instruments for its application in clinical, forensic and correctional psychology. These are, briefly described, the VRAG scale, the PCL-R, the HCR-20, the SCR-20, the SARA test, the EPV and the SAVRY, as well as their specific functions and applications.
