摘要
The main aim of this paper is to analyze the influence on the heat transfer capability of the fin by incorporating perforations of various shapes on the lateral surface of the fin. The velocity of air and Heat input to the fin are kept constant. The parameter that are varying are Geometry of the perforation. The various geometries that are considered for this experiment are Square, and Triangular. The area for the above mentioned Geometries is kept constant. Other parameter is Number of perforations, the various configurations that are considered for the analysis are Fin with single perforation, Fin with two perforation and Fin with three perforations. And last parameter is Material of the fin, Aluminium is selected as the materials to be analyzed. To understand the effect of the above mentioned configurations on fins and there by on the overall heat transfer capacity of the fin. The experimental results are correlated with simulation results.
