A quasi-cyclic structure of tetraphenyldithioimidodiphosphinato (triphenylphosphine)-gold(I), Ph3P•Au(SPh2PNPPh2S), involving Au•••S secondary bonds

摘要
The mixed tetraphenyldithioimidodiphosphinato (triphenylphosphine)-gold(I) complex, Ph3P . Au(SPh2PNPPh2), displays an asymmetric quasi-cyclic structure with two non-equivalent gold-sulfur bonds [primary Au-S 2.3355(9) Angstrom and secondary Au ... S 3.0429(10) Angstrom], differing from the metallacycle structure of the known gold(III) derivative AuCl2(SPh2PNPPh2) and of the copper(I) congener, Ph3P . Cu(SPh2PNPPh2), which contain symmetrical rings AuS2P2N and CuS2P2N, respectively (with Au-S 2.314 and 2.303 Angstrom, and Cu-S 2.215 and 2.258 Angstrom).
