摘要：

The following paper deals with several aspects regarding positioning technology and application design in order to provide a seamless system for a region consisting of many areas with various characters. Beginning with an evident example for motivation, basic demands will be shown. Some classifications lead to specific requirements and are followed by a distinction between the primary area types indoor and outdoor. In the end two approaches for common problems in this field will be presented one regarding to data structuring and handling, another for position determination in several areas.
