摘要
The aim of the paper is to present a numerical procedure based on the finite element method (FEM) in the time domain when modeling electromagnetic transients in a single nonlinear electrical network. It presents an extension to the FE time domain model used to analyze electromagnetic transients in linear networks. Based on the Newton-Raphson method for FEM analysis and the generalized trapezoidal rule for time integration a novel numerical procedure for the computation of electromagnetic transients in nonlinear circuits/networks is obtained.
