摘要：
The article is devoted to the analysis of threats to the economic security of the Republic of Mari El. As the main threats to the economic security of the Republic, the threat of low economic growth rates, insufficient investment, the limited scope of non-primary exports, the tense situation in the labor market, and interregional competition are highlighted. A comparative analysis of the investment attractiveness of the region and the composite innovation index with the subjects of the Volga Federal District was carried out. Projects based on the use of the scientific, technical and human resources of higher education institutions can be the tools for neutralizing the economic threats of the Republic of Mari El.
