The Application of Computer Assisted English Teaching Model in College English Teaching

After the entrance of the computer network into the traditional mode of college English teaching as the core tool of modern information technologies, many changes have taken place in the traditional English teaching, which has brought some doubts and challenges to the English teaching. Based on this, the application of computer aided English teaching mode in college English teaching was studied. In this paper, firstly, the development status of English teaching was introduced; then, the meaning of the college English autonomous learning model was discussed; then, the conceptual model of autonomous learning model in the computer aided college English was introduced; finally, the process of the application of computer aided English teaching mode in college English teaching were introduced in detail. The experimental results show that with the use of computer assisted English teaching model in college English teaching, listening and speaking abilities as well as the reading and writing skills of students in the experimental class were significantly improved. This paper can provide a broader way of thinking for the reform and practice of college English teaching.
