摘要
In this paper a novel pulse-width-modulation (PWM) method is proposed for Silicon Carbide (SiC) based on high frequency three-phase, two-level, voltage-source inverters (VSIs) aiming at reducing the RMS current flowing through DC-link capacitors. Mathematical analysis shows that this new strategy is particularly effective in terms of reducing DC-link capacitor rms current compared to normal PWM methods (SVPWM, DPWM1, and AZSPWM1), which decreases the size of the DC-link capacitor and further improves the power density of SiC VSIs. Simulation and experiment results are shown to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis.
