摘要
Silica sulfuric acid is used as an efficient catalyst in the Pechmann condensation of phenols with beta-keto-esters leading to the formation of coumarin derivatives in excellent yields under solvent-free conditions. It was found that the catalyst could be recycled and reused for several runs.
