APPLICATION OF LOW PARAMETER PSA PROCESS FOR CAPTURE OF CO2 FROM FLUE GASES EMITTED DURING OXYGEN-ENRICHED COMBUSTION

摘要
The paper presents application of commercial sorbents, e.g. zeolites for capture of carbon dioxide from flue gases for low parameters of adsorption process. The main focus of the investigations was to minimize energy demand, therefore adsorption was carried out under low feed gas pressure. The applied gas mixture simulated the one emitted during coal burning in oxygen-enriched atmosphere, which is characterized by higher content or carbon dioxide in comparison with conventional burning. Variety of parameters which affect separation process such as step configuration, purge gas flow rate, adsorption time, and also temperature were taken into account during pressure swing adsorption.
