摘要
The trend of automatic control systems in process control industries viz. pharmaceuticals, oil and gas industry, pulp and paper industry demand high accuracy and precision measurements. Level measurement of fluids that is ubiquitous in the process industry has been done using pressure sensors since many years. A mathematical model of an inductive pressure sensor is presented to test its feasibility in level measurement applications. A discrete controller is used to control the position of inlet valve based on the feedback from the pressure sensor. This type of pressure sensor requires no maintenance, has ease of installation, can be used for different types of fluids with proper calibration, and is vibration resistant and more immune to noise due to the digital nature of output.
