摘要：
This paper examines the shifting of real estate tax in China. The supply elasticity is above demand elasticity, and real estate tax is shifted to consumers. With the real estate taxes, the housing prices become higher, and it is accompanied by the high demand-supply ratio of housing market. Imposing property tax can hardly curb housing prices, and strong demand is the most important reason of rising house prices.
