摘要
Zeolite-Y-modified carbon paste electrodes display a preferential incorporation of the neurotransmitters dopamine and epinephrine, while rejecting the anionic ascorbate species. The greatly enhanced selectivity accrued from the ion-exchange properties of the zeolite particles is demonstrated using cyclic voltammetric, batch amperometric and flow-injection voltammetric experiments. Experimental parameters affecting the uptake of dopamine, including the solution pH and ionic strength or zeolite loading, are explored. The attractive properties of zeolite-modified electrodes could be valuable for in-vivo brain electrochemistry.
