With the increase of the amount of network information, the expansion of the number and the variety of data, it entered the era of big data, college file management is facing the impact. Therefore, university archivists must understand and master the characteristics of university teaching archives management in the era of big data. It reflects the level of college students' teaching and also influences the development of colleges and universities. This paper summarizes the concept and characteristics of big data and analyzes it. Based on the background of big data, this paper combines the teaching data management model of university teaching material under the background of big data, and makes a deep study on strengthening the new idea of teaching archives management.
