Efficiency of PV/T Collector using Spiral Thermal Absorber Design

摘要
This study aimed to design and assess the photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) collector performance using spiral thermal collector design. The design of the spiral water collector was rebuilt from previous researchers design. The thermal collectors use a larger tube size and the distance between the tubes closer than with previous researchers design. PV/T collector has been tested under three different intensities, which are 300 W/m(2), 500 W/m(2) and 700 W/m(2) and also tested at three different water mass flow rates, which are 0.01, 0.02 and 0.04 kg/s. At the same circumstances, the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV), thermal and PV/T also shows the highest value, which are 4.18%, 76.68% and 80.86%. In this study, the result of thermal efficiency is higher than the previous study.
