CHILD AND ADOLESCENT SEXUAL ABUSE IN AN ANALYSIS OF TECHNIQUES IN COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL GROUP THERAPY (CBGT)

This study aimed to promote reflection, study and research on the theme of sexual abuse in childhood and adolescence, with cognitive behavioral therapy as its light. Given the growing number of cases, we see the need to redouble psychological assistance. Knowing the important impact generated by this phenomenon to countless children and adolescents, was stressed about the important role of the psychologist in welcoming these victims, as well as an effective long-term follow-up, capable of bringing a new resignification of life, suffering and guilt. Because of this, we sought to present the most used techniques in the reception of children and adolescents victims of sexual abuse, involved in the group therapeutic process, performed by professional cognitive and behavioral psychologists.
