Some considerations concerning work on offshore platforms

What is being analyzed here is the legal regulation of the working conditions and social security coverage of people who provide services like workers on board offshore platforms. This paper presents conflicts encountered in determining what applicable laws, in the specific case of these workers, have importance in establishing what juridical legislation govern their conditions of work and of social security. The courts have had to articulate on these conflicts and this jurisprudence repairs the present work that was realised taking into account the fact that the interpretation and application of such conflicting laws are managed as much by the Spanish courts as by the TJUE itself. The realisation of this paper also allows the investigation into the scarcity of standards dedicated specifically to labour and social security rules that regulate the work of these professionals.
