摘要
Internet of Things (IoT) changed the lifestyle of people around the globe with the invention of new gadgets and devices. With this motto an application is developed for the purpose of home which is called a virtual assistance and it also provides security to people by incorporating continuous surveillance in home. This made the home as smart and secure. In this paper a novel method is proposed and implemented that helps the people to getting the home status through IoT communication channels. A cost-effective stand-alone device for users to notify through surveillance module whenever a person interacts with the main door of the house. The system is working with a Raspberry Pi which is connecting with a Pi camera, a channel relay, a microphone connectivity and few speakers connected around the home. When a visitor interacts with the main door, the captured image is sent to the owner personal mobile via an e-mail which helps to notify the owner that someone is at the door. The visitor's image along with the date and timestamp is sent to the server for retrieving information later. A personal assistant is embedded in this application which acts solely to the owner and executes the commands that are given by the owner. The system is tested countless times to be effective, and easy to utilize and also to enhance the safety of the user.
