Configurable resource model for process-oriented applications

摘要
Process-oriented applications are recognized as an effective means to integrate multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams to collaboratively work together effectively. One of the key issues in process-oriented applications is how to flexibly model different types of enterprise resources from variant companies to enable them to collaborate. To address such an issue, a configurable resource model is developed in this study to facilitate the development of process-oriented applications. Such a developed model can be configured and extended to represent different resources from variant companies. A prototype is implemented by using the web technology to demonstrate the efficiency of the model developed.
