Parameter Tuning Method for the Controller of Brushless DC Motor Based on Coyote Algorithm

摘要
Parameter tuning of the controller is one of the research hot spots in the control field that provides an important reference for the control of brushless direct current motor (BLDCM). A parameter tuning method for the controller of BLDCM based on Coyote algorithm (COA) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the mathematical model of speed control for BLDCM was established by using two-phase conduction three-phase full bridge drive mode and proportional integral method. Then, the fitness function of the controller was constructed by adopting the Integrated Time and Absolute Error (ITAE). Finally, the operations for birth, growth and expulsion of the controller parameters were determined, and the process of the parameter tuning for the controller was designed based on COA. The superiority of the method was shown by the experimental results under the constant condition and sinusoidal condition. The experimental showed that the index of the mean variation, the ITAE, and the standard deviation (SD) improve 1.77%, 16.3% and 10.4%, respectively, under constant speed, and improvement 77.79%, 27.18% and - 0.012%, respectively, under the sinusoidal speed. Compared with the previous methods, this method could be used to adjust the parameters of complex control and to get the higher control precision.
