How do we motivate the consumer to eat more nutrient rich fruit and vegetables?

Fruit and vegetable consumption is important to combat chronic disease such as cardiovascular conditions, cancer and obesity. However, despite the established health benefits, daily intake levels remain much lower that the WHO recommend.. A number. of factors are known to impact fresh fruit and vegetable consumption. Taking these into account, interventions have been, a variety of promotional and policy conducted around the globe for more than a decade to raise daily consumption levels. These campaigns have often been a joint effort between industry,. government and public. health organisations and collaboration has contributed towards their effectiveness. has been WHO consumption targets, although most have been able to increase knowledge and modest in terms of meeting the success of these initiatives awareness of the issue.
