Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) is a highly discriminating tool fur molecular typing, but the conventional PFGE protocol is time consuming. This paper describes a rapid method of PGGE for Listeria monocytogenes that yields results within 2 days. (C) 2000 Harcourt Publishers Ltd.
