摘要
This paper presents a method for designing twodimensional (2D) filterbank with perfect reconstruction (PR) property which is based on eigen filter design approach. In this method, first design 2D low-pass analysis filter using 2D eigen filter approach. The complementary synthesis low-pass filter can be obtained by expressing a set of linear constraints from PR conditions. Furthermore, 2-D diamond shaped perfect reconstruction filterbank is designed. The feasibility of designed filterbank can be investigated by measuring symmetry, regularity and energy of the error and results are compared with McClellan transformation method to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
