摘要
The investigations on possible use of low-temperature melts for plutonium alloy conversion to finely dispersed plutonium dioxide that can be used for production of pellet fuel were carried out. The properties of the obtained plutonium dioxide powders and produced MOX-pellets of VVER-1000 type were subjected to analysis. The studies demonstrated that the application of low-temperature melts allows (one) to obtain fine-crystal plutonium dioxide powders with high chemical activity that can be used for MOX-pellets production at the sintering process being appropriately developed.
