Compact and crosstalk-enhanced intersecting polymeric electo-optic waveguides using a partially etching technique

摘要
Experimental results of crosstalk and loss of intersecting polymeric rib waveguides based on the electro-optic polymer material APC-CPW1 are presented. To achieve a small-size intersecting rib waveguide and to minimize the crosstalk at the same time, we,have employed a simple deep etching technique at the intersecting region that provides a 33 % reduced intersection length and a 25 % enhanced crosstalk in the experimental results compared to the conventional polymeric APC-CPW1 intersecting rib waveguides.
