摘要
A radial distribution system have different characteristic when it is installed with distributed generation, especially in protection coordination. However, Overcurrent protection in distribution system influenced from different in fault current when distribution system connected with DC. Therefore, this paper presents optimization based adaptive coordination protection of overcurrent relays using genetic algorithm. Adaptive coordination scheme is applied to create optimal protection coordination with different coordination in each radial distribution system configuration. Genetic algorithm used to obtain time setting multiplier and plug setting. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm reduce operating time of the coordination protection of overcurrent relays.
