The historiography about the Spanish Transition to Democracy is one of the most prolific in terms of the number of recent works and publications. This article will offer an overview of the treatment that, specifically, the collective memory of the Transition has received the main interpretive approaches to it. Subsequently, a possible interpretative proposal will be offered from the introduction of the concept of nostalgias prestadas, to treat a historical process which memory and symbolic spaces has a great relevance and influence in the current history of Spain.
