摘要
Female sexual crime has had a lack of recognition in the literature as the traditional perspective of gender roles has prevented the recognition of sexual crime by women. Studies on women's involvement in group sex crimes have been limited to the last decade and recent research has shown that, although to a lesser extent, women also engage in this criminal activity in groups and have their own characteristics. This study aims to describe some characteristics that have been identified in the literature on women's involvement in group sexual assaults. When women act in the company of another person, it is usually a man, of whom they are often a partner. The victims are usually women and, above all, within the family environment of the aggressors. Understanding women's activity in the crime of sexual assault committed in a group is necessary to be able to detect these behaviours, know the vulnerable victims and be able to develop intervention and treatment strategies.
