摘要
European Council sets the ambitious goal of making Europe the world's first climate-neutral continent by 2050 and EU countries should develop national long-term strategies to use energy more efficiently. Biomass is considered as a key renewable energy resource and Cogeneration is an efficient possibility for biomass converting into fuels. Cogeneration is an efficient technology for the use of biomass. A project of six biomass fueled CHP power plants is presented in this paper. The plants use the most current gasification and power generation technologies and have total installed electrical capacity of 35 MW. Five of the plants have capacity of 5 MW each and one plant has capacity of 10 MW. Roughly 60% of the heat produced in the CHP is used to dry the wet biomass entering the same plant. The efficiency in electricity production is 36.9% and in heat production - 17.2%. The overall efficiency of each CHP unit is 54.0%. Total investment for all six plants is 69,885,986 (sic).
