摘要
Field device innovations modify the structure of DCS. That is why functionality of PLC and DCS components are carried out in the field devices. This interrupts the signal flow between the functions and the information flow between the programming and engineering tools. The following paper shows the relations between field devices, PLC programming as well as commissioning and engineering tools and determine the tasks of fieldbus profiles and their formalised description methods. The 3 concepts combine run-time and engineering aspects and provide the most freedom for field device manufacture. Therefore, the concepts are known as the 'Three Component Model'.
