摘要
The relation proposed by the authors has utility in developing countries facing water shortage and where need to store water is immensely significant, however small in quantity. Building a large number of check dams on natural streams is a key hydraulic structure activity in such places. A fair estimation of sediment flow is required. To meet similar needs, the proposed simple models have been developed using various river and canal data sets of Brownlie W.R. (1981). The dimensionless relations are developed by plotting the dimensionless sediment transport parameter against dimensionless flow parameter. A range of flow parameters, from energy parameter, stream power parameter to shear stress parameter is tested for the best correlation with Einstein's dimensionless sediment transport parameter for the selected data sets. Accordingly, Duan's dimensionless flow parameter is selected to finally evolve the models using regression. A performance analysis is carried out using statistical parameters like MNE, DR, Score, etc.
