In this study, we examined the self-disclosure of Czech adolescent members of purely online communities (N = 244). We analyzed the association between self-disclosure and the online disinhibition, disclosing behavior of other members, and the fear of misuse of published information (controlling for gender and age). Online disinhibition and members' disclosing behavior positively predicted self-disclosure in online community; fear of information misuse had no effect. The findings are discussed with regard to the group norms of self-disclosure and online risks.
