Maintenance of Regression Test Case Suite

In the process of regression testing, the quality and scheduling strategy of test suite have significant influences. Due to the lack of consideration of combining traditional test case maintenance and current developing, testing, debugging software enterprises have already been done, regression testing scope definition is not unified, the coverage rate of out of the defined scope is not considered, and the abilities of defecting and predicting detection are insufficient. So this paper proposes a strategy, firstly we must analyze the available cases from the starting needs in a certain influence domain to maintain test case suite. Meanwhile, we must keep certain coverage rate for the unselected scope by some specific criteria. Through the examples, it shows that this method is more suitable for enterprise.
