摘要：
This contribution provides an overview of the temporary and constant impacts of underground coal-mining activity on the environment with a special emphasis on groundwater quality and quantity protection in the Czech Republic. Recommendations are made for the monitoring of mining influences on water resources in the Ostrava-Karvina coal-mining district.
