Personal knowledge and organizational change - A knowledge management perspective

摘要
It is argued in this paper that knowledge management theories and principles can be applied to the analysis of personal knowledge management practices, and that this reversal of the usual theoretical direction can be shown to provide insights useful for KM theory in general. Some of the implications of the argument are explored by way of an analysis of the effects of radical organizational change on personal knowledge. In this, an individual's organizational knowledge is construed as a personal asset worthy of protection, so that resistance to radical change can then be understood as a normative reaction to the threat of personal loss.
