Possibility of interband coupling in MgB2 from anharmonic phonons and quadratic electron-phonon interaction

We argue that the interband coupling in MgB2 originates from strong anharmonicity of the phonons and the presence of both linear and quadratic electron-phonon interactions due to the bond-stretching modes. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
