Quality assistance to teachers of post-graduate courses in EaD

Healthcare professionals are involved with the health of the individual and the community acting in the promotion, protection and recovery of health, working actively in educational actions, such as continuing and continuing education. The objective of this study was to verify the level of knowledge of health professionals about infections related to health care and hand hygiene. It is an applied, observational, quantitative study. A statistically significant difference was considered for p <0.05. Results: Most (> 95%) of the professionals received some hand hygiene training. Items with accuracy above 80% were: hand washing technique steps and actions that prevent the cross transmission of microorganisms. Significant differences (p <0.05) were found among professionals regarding the necessary inputs for proper hand washing. In this investigation, it was found that professionals have knowledge about infection and hygiene techniques, however, not evidencing a complete association of these with the practice.
