摘要
This qualitative study describes challenges faced by parents in supporting their gifted children throughout their schooling in the province of Quebec. A total of 206 parents answered an open-ended question in this regard. A thematic analysis was carried out on the qualitative data collected. The results provide indications about parents' perceptions regarding the limited place of giftedness at school, their subjective experience, and the contextual factors perceived as influencing their difficulties towards school. The discussion highlights how these results support existing literature on the topic and provide avenues for facilitating collaboration between schools and gifted children's parents.
